Now, let's get into the recipe!
Step 1 - Gather Your Supplies
In order to make up your ink you will need the following:

- A highlighter (Any color, any size - preferably non-toxic if you will be using this on skin)
- Pliers
- Hot Water
- Microwaveable Dish
- A water tight jar to store your ink (Optional)
- Brush for your ink (Optional)
And....
- Your Bodily Fluid Detector (You guessed it)
Step 2 - Get the Ink
To make this recipe work, you will need the ink from within the highlighter itself. You can use a pair of pliers or another tool to pull the tip of the highlighter out.
You will need from the highlighter is the actual tip itself and the tube, this houses all the magic ink! Make sure to keep the highlighter intact through this process - you will want to put it back together again in the end to make up your invisible pen.

Step 3 - Nuke It
Time to get out that microwavable dish. Add some water to it.
Once you've filled the dish with water, drop in the tip of the highlighter and the highlighter tube itself into the dish.
Now into the microwave with the dish. Microwave the elixir until it starts boiling.

Step 4: Squeeze the Ink
Once the water is boiling, use a towel or heat protectant gloves to remove your dish from the microwave.
Again, call on your trusty pliers or a pair of kitchen tongs to remove the tube. Then use the same instrument to squeeze out all the ink you can from the tip.

Step 5: Add Water & Re-boil
Next, add enough water to the mix till it's see through (clear), but is still dark in tone. Make sure the mixture is transparent.
Then, you will add the tube and tip back into the dish and microwave until boiling again.

Step 6: Mix, Reassemble & Play
Once the mixture has come to a boil, use your heat protectant gloves to remove the dish from the microwave again. Give you mixture a little stir.
Your invisible ink is now ready! Feel free to let it cool and transfer it to your storage safe jar.
Now, you can use your pliers or kitchen tongs to remove the highlighter tube and tip. It's time to put your highlighter back together again if you can.
Once your highlighter is back together, it becomes your invisible pen!
Dip your highlighter into your ink and write with it when you're ready.
